Add Option to Not Close Publish Page on Save/Publish

I wanted to suggest a feature to choose whether or not to close the publish page on save/publish. At the moment, BW always closes the publish page, but I think it's pretty common for people to want to save & preview, make changes, save & preview again, make more changes, etc. As it is, the user has to navigate back to the entry's publish page after every save, which can get pretty frustrating if they're OCD about their entries.

    Hi Kirsten,

    Many thanks for your comment.

BWF has been designed to do exactly what you are describing.

Within BWF the idea is that you use 'Save and Preview' or 'Save and Close' while you are working on the entry. You would only click 'Publish' once you were finished with any content work and you wanted the entry to be live.

Clicking 'Save and Close' will exit the publish view, but 'Save and Preview' will save the entry at that moment and then generate a preview in a modal window, so you're not taken anywhere else. You can close this and continue working on the entry right away.

So, you shouldn't need to navigate anywhere to make further changes. I'm wondering if some aspects of BWF aren't working for you. You can watch the videos on our homepage to see what the experience should be like:

    Many thanks,

    Hi Malcom,

You're right! This is my first time using BWF and I don't think I spent enough time kicking the tires. Sorry for bugging you, and thanks for the quick & detailed response!

No problem at all. Hope BWF works out for you.
